IV. OUT OF PROGRAM COURSES

Out of Program courses are offered in summers, and are taught by visiting professors from Teachers College in New York. The purpose of these courses is to provide intellectual stimulation outside of the Professional area of teaching English. The courses offered are chosen specifically to add to, or deepen understanding in general educational theory and practice, and so are useful for providing contrasting and complementary ideas. Some courses are available online throughout the year. Taking 3 courses is required.
